Luciana Voltolini was six years old when she started ballet. In Joinville in Brazil, her birthplace, she danced at the Bolshoi Theater School from 2000 to 2004 . At 19 she received a scholarship to the Boston Ballet, where she stayed for a total of seven years. In 2011 she moved to New York for four and a half years, and has been with the Staatsballett Berlin since August 2015 .
