EKATERINA OLEYNIK
Her repertoire includes Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, La Bayadère, Paquita, Don Quixote, Carmina Burana, Cinderella, La Fille Mal Gardée, Sleeping Beauty, The Fountain of Bakhchisara, Le Corsaire, Giselle, Sheherazade and Anuta to name a few.
Ekaterina Oleynik was awarded the Capezio Dance Award for significant achievements in dance in 2010, and granted a Gold Medal at the 8th competition of Tanz Olimp in Berlin the following year. In 2012, the President of the Republic of Belarus honored her with the Francisk Skorina medal for her achievements in art and culture. In 2018, she received the title of Honoured artist of the Republic of Belarus.
In 2020 and 2022, Ekaterina Oleynik was a choreographer on French TV show 'Prodige'.
Ekaterina Oleynik, Principal at the Opéra Nice Côte d’Azur and Honoured artist of the Republic of Belarus, graduated in 2007 from the Belarusian State Choreographic Gymnasium College, and has since worked as a Principal dancer with the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus (2007-2013), the Washington Ballet (2013-2014) and the Estonian National Ballet (2014-2015), and as a Principal guest artist with the Teatro San Carlo in Naples in 2016.
At the Washington Ballet, Ekaterina Oleynik expanded her experience to include contemporary performances such as Bird’s Nest by Val Caniparoli, PRISM by Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, There Where She Loved by Christopher Wheeldon, A Day in the Life by Trey McIntyre and Peter Pan
by Septime Webre.
Since 2019, she has worked at the Opéra Nice Côte d’Azur and danced in performances of Cassandra by Luciano Cannito, Arlesienne by Roland Petit, Vespertine by Liam Scarlett and Pas de Dieux by Gene Kelly.
