"This intensive has been life-changing.

Both as a dancer and as a person I feel completely full and incredibly grateful for this experience. I gained so much knowledge and confidence. I remembered why I started to dance.
Thank you so much, I am so so grateful"

10 DAYS
of Young Stars Ballet

DAY 1
starts with a quick registration in the foyer
We will mark your attendance and guide you to the changing rooms and your respective studio based on your group.
MORNING CLASS
each day
begins with a 90-minute ballet class led by soloists and principal dancers from top European theatres. From the very first movement, they’ll refine your technique and focus heavily on your artistry.

TECHNIQUE OR POINTE WORK
It’s 11:00 AM, you’ve just finished your morning ballet class and have a 15-minute break before your next lesson. Usually, it’s a focused technique lesson where you’ll dissect challenging elements like pirouettes and grand allegro. Some days, you might work on pointe technique with prima ballerina Elena Pris or one of our other world-class teachers.

SOLO REPERTOIRE

A class where you are the star. Over the ten days, you’ll learn an average of 2–4 new variations, with soloist Ulian Topor giving personalized corrections to every dancer and a chance to perform it individually.

LUNCH
You’ll have about an hour each day to relax and connect with fellow dancers. A supermarket and a bakery sit just across from the studios, but most students love spending this time unwinding in the cozy lounge areas inside the building.
CORPS DE BALLET REPERTOIRE

Together with Amélie van de Klashorst, you’ll learn the essentials of dancing as a group. How to move together, stay in sync, and think as one. She’ll give you the theatre tips and tricks to achieve unity and prepare you for your first years in a professional ballet company. You’ll work on excerpts from famous classical and neoclassical repertoire and get ready to perform them on our open day.

DAY 5
we invite all students and their parents to a casual get-together to celebrate the end of our first week and connect outside the studio. There will be food, beverages, and plenty of fun! Weather permitting, we’ll gather in the courtyard of ‘Hotel Steps,’ just a three-minute walk from the studios.
At the end of YSB Day 5

MODERN
MOVEMENT

Together with Johan King Silverhult, you’ll learn how to use your weight and even your exhaustion to your advantage, creating an honest, powerful impact with your dancing.
As Johan always says: “We add. We never subtract.”
At YSB, Modern Dance isn’t about erasing your ballet foundation - it’s about building on it, adding new layers to your artistry so you’re prepared for any choreography and style that comes your way.
PILATES AND STAGE ACTING

Over the ten days, you’ll have two full hours of stage acting.

In these lessons, you’ll step into the shoes of iconic ballet characters - from Carabosse to Giselle and beyond - and explore exercises designed to make you comfortable emoting and performing.
Say goodbye to stage fright! These lively, laughter-filled classes are often a breakthrough moment in many dancers’ journey of confidence and expression.
Pilates designed specifically for ballet dancers. Our classes are led by soloist dancers certified in STOTT Pilates, combining their deep understanding of ballet’s demands with expert pilates technique. You’ll learn targeted exercises to strengthen, align, and truly level up your dance body.

AUDITION PHOTOS
In the second week, we bring in a professional dance photographer and transform the studio into a full-blown photo studio - complete with studio lights and a high-speed camera. One of our teachers will help guide and correct students during the shooting.
Each student will have 2–3 edited poses captured, perfect for future auditions - and it’s all included at no extra cost.

DAY 10 | OPEN DAY
On our final day, we open the doors to parents and friends. You’re welcome to watch any of our classes throughout the day. Come as early as 9:30, or drop in later to watch our repertoire show.
THE SHOW
This is the moment our students get to share everything they’ve been working on. Both groups will perform several pieces of repertoire - a chance to feel the thrill of performing, the energy of the room, and a well-deserved ovation.
The show takes place in our studios, and after their final bow, everyone will enjoy one last lunch together before continuing with their usual classes.

On DAY 10, we conclude our open day with a special certificate ceremony. All students from both groups gather in Studio II to hear final words from our director and teachers - a heartfelt goodbye, lots of photos and hugs, and an enthusiastic ‘see you next year.’
Each certificate recipient also receives a 15% discount code for next year’s intensive.
